Made for People celebrates the extraordinary value Queensland development brings to our lives and communities.
In Queensland, we experience development projects in our everyday lives, often without even realising it.
Our mission is to connect you with the real story of development in our state: the passion powering every project, the innovation at work, and the industry’s enduring drive to make people’s lives and communities, better.
Behind every space you see are stories of innovation, environment, and community. Enriching Queensland brings these stories out of the shadows and into the spotlight, sharing how present-day development works to benefit all.
The Urban Development Institute Australia Queensland created Made for People to connect the two sides of the development story. Pairing the craft of the built environment with the people who embrace these spaces.
From the places we pass through on a daily basis, to those we intentionally seek out, much of our lives are spent engaging with developed spaces. But blink and you’ll miss all the details that make these spaces what they are – places created with people at heart.
The UDIA Queensland is a non-profit, peak industry body governed by a Board of Directors. The Institute is an advocacy and education organisation whose members include the professionals who plan, design and deliver land, parks, open spaces, recreational spaces, buildings and homes.
Our focus is to help build sustainable and vibrant communities for our growing state, and to contribute to planning and policy discussions which shape and preserve the way we live now and into the future.
For over 50 years our work has supported hundreds of thousands of people and businesses who work in the property, building, and construction sector.
We regularly engage with all three levels of government in discussions relating to new legislation, infrastructure priorities and our shared challenge of accommodating population growth across our state, and our members regularly consult with residents, communities, and neighbourhoods across Queensland.
